David Bean: Clarinet
David has played his instrument almost 40 years and has performed with the CSO for 25 of those years.
A graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Music Education and a Master of Music Performance, he has studied with Victor Bianchetta, Aristides Chavez, and Stephen Steele.
David has experience with the Quad City Youth Symhony, the ISU Symphony Orchestra and the Knox-Galesburg Symphony. He has performed with the Sterling Festival Orchestra, the Quad City Wind Ensemble, and the Sterling Municipal Band.
In addition to the honor of serving as IMEA president, David belongs to MENC: The National Association for Music Education, Illinois Music Educators Association, National Band Association, and the American School Band Directors Association.
Highlights in David's career include soloing with the Clinton Symphony Orchestra and guest conducting the Illinois Wesleyan Symphonic Band.
David is a resident of Morrison, Illinois, and a band director in the Morrison community schools.
