Diane Blomberg: Violin
Diane received her Bachelor's - Music Education degree from Northwestern University. She has studied violin with Archle Sheesby and Robert Quick.
She has had experiences with several orchestras other than the Clinton Symphony. Among those with which she has had extended service are the Rockford Symphony (10 years), the Dubuque Symphony (20 years), the Elgin Symphony (8 years) and the Platteville Symphony (4 years). She has performed with the Clinton Symphony for more than 20 years.
She is a member of Mu Phi Epsilon, a professional music fraternity.
Diane is proficient on the piano as well as the violin, and until her retirement, she gave lessons on both instruments. Now, in addition to her performing with the CSO, she acts as choir director for her church.
When asked about the highlights of her musical career, Diance replied, the "orchestras that I've belonged to."
