Cathryn Styczynski: Violoncello Cathryn is proficient on two instruments, the cello and the piano. She has been playing the cello for 25 years and the piano for 70 years. She has performed with the CSO for over 20 years. She received her Bachelor of Music degree, major in piano performance, from Northwestern University School of Music. She has studied under the tutelage of Robert Whipple. Her previous orchestra experiences include the Sterling Summer Festival Orchestra and high school musicals. She has performed with the Sterling Singing Strings Quartet and the Sauk Valley College String Orchestra. Cathryn gives private lessons on the piano. She considers "playing in the Clinton Symphony since 1987" the highlight of her career in music. |
