Alexandria Weets, the daughter of Lennie and Carolyn Weets of Morrison, Illinois, is a Morrison High School senior. She is engaged in many school-related activities including jazz and concert band and choir. She serves as Key Club president, on Student Council, and as a member of the Scholastic Bowl team. Outside of school, she enjoys her youth group and church at Rock River Christian Center in Rock Falls.
After high school, Alexandria plans on attending college at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri, where she will work toward a bachelor's degree in music education with a minor/emphasis in missions. A major career goal is to teach music in other countries.
Music teachers who have furthered her interest in saxophone include David Bean, band teacher at Morrison High School, Julianna Karvelius, band teacher at Oswego Junior High School, and Brandi Spreeman, her saxophone teacher from 2007 through 2009.
